Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to PCU/Stepdown patients on travel assignments Continuously monitor vitals, telemetry, and clinical status, escalating concerns promptly Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans Maintain accurate EMR documentation and comply with facility protocols Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and infection control standards Adapt quickly to new hospital settings, workflows, and equipment Required Skills Progressive care nursing Stepdown/PCU patient monitoring Telemetry monitoring and interpretation IV therapy and medication administration Ventilator and respiratory support management Cardiac rhythm recognition Wound care and post-operative management Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Care planning and patient education Infection prevention and control
