Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daytime Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care during daytime hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment for a diverse patient population. Your expertise will support clinical operations across various specialties, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Runs by 6-6 schedules. 8 week contract. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs, and physical examinations to determine care needs. Administer medications and injections accurately following medical orders and safety protocols. Manage IV infusions, catheter care, and aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams utilizing EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for documentation and coordination of care. Provide specialized nursing interventions including wound suturing, ostomy care, and pain management tailored to individual patient needs. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, imaging procedures like sonography or mammography, and trauma assessments in Level I or II trauma center settings. Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication regimens, discharge planning, and post-acute care instructions. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration. Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care (NICU), or behavioral health settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks; proficiency in medical documentation and ICD coding (ICD-9/10). Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Critical care experience preferred—especially ICU or emergency room experience—along with trauma medicine or Level I/II trauma center background. Ability to perform complex procedures such as intubation assistance, ventilator management, tube feeding administration, and triage assessments. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
