Job Description

PRN (as needed), daytime hours only and no call requirements. Fast-paced outpatient surgery environment, collaborative and patient-focused team. Essential Responsibilities Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including assessments, medication review, and patient education. Monitor patients during the recovery phase and provide post-anesthesia care. Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Administer medications and treatments as ordered. Educate patients and family members regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required Current BLS certification required ACLS certification, PALS certification Previous Pre-Op, PACU, Recovery Room, Ambulatory Surgery, or Critical Care experience preferred Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills At Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, we pride ourselves in small-town values and advanced medical care.
