Registered Nurse in the Pulmonary Medicine Unit handling higher acuity patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, evaluate, and revise individualized care plans to meet patient outcomes. Conduct patient assessments, gather health data, and communicate plans to patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide culturally sensitive education on disease management, emergency care, and medications, utilizing community resources. Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to professional development, and delegate tasks appropriately. Offer psychological support, assist with procedures like injections and IV management, and participate in performance improvement and research activities. Monitor wound/ostomy/skin care, ensure compliance with HIPAA, and assist with patient transportation when needed.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; Baccalaureate preferred. Active Illinois RN license. ACLS and BLS certifications.

Preferred:

Bachelor's in Nursing and at least 1 year inpatient experience.

Patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, teamwork, documentation, and adherence to safety and privacy standards.
