Carmel, IL Travel:

Regional travel between assigned communities is required. Mileage reimbursement provided.

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced RN with strong Skilled Nursing/long-term care experience, excellent communication skills, strong clinical judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships with residents, families, and facility teams. Duties Assist with patient care activities across acute care, hospital, nursing home, and home care environments, ensuring adherence to medical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations. Support clinical staff through training, precepting new nurses, and delivering adult education sessions focused on physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology. Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation in compliance with state healthcare regulations and hospital policies. Contribute to patient assessments by applying critical care knowledge, ICU experience, pediatric expertise, and adult learning principles to optimize treatment plans. Lead or participate in team training and development initiatives to enhance clinical instruction skills and promote best practices in patient care. Stay current with health regulation policies, hospital procedures, and medical documentation standards to ensure compliance and quality assurance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient services, facilitate effective communication, and support healthcare delivery excellence. Skills Extensive critical care experience including ICU, acute care, and hospital settings. Proven nursing leadership experience with a focus on team guidance and staff training. Strong background in nursing home care, home health services, pediatrics, and adult education methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, reporting, and training purposes. Deep knowledge of health regulation policies such as HIPAA and state healthcare regulations to ensure compliance. Excellent clinical instruction skills with experience in precepting new nurses or students in various healthcare environments. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and medical records management for accurate patient documentation.
