9689788-60477 Job Description Embark on a meaningful assignment supporting a student with complex medical needs as a contract Registered Nurse in a school-based setting. This position begins immediately and extends through May 28, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Situated near Tinley Park, IL, you will work closely with one student, providing individualized care and ensuring their safety and participation in the school environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active and unrestricted RN license Previous experience in school nursing or working with pediatric patients preferred Competency managing G-tube feedings and care Ability to address the needs of students with seizure disorders and VP shunt management Skilled in mobility support for wheelchair users Comfortable collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals Compassionate, patient, and reliable, particularly for non-verbal students with significant medical needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing services throughout the school day to a single student on your caseload Administer medications and manage complex medical equipment, including G-tubes and VP shunts Monitor for signs of seizures or distress and implement appropriate interventions Maintain detailed daily documentation of care provided Communicate professionally with teachers, school staff, and the multidisciplinary care team Adapt care strategies to ensure the students dignity, comfort, and safety in all settings This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on a students life, working within a supportive educational environment.
