Heart-Centered Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Health & Wellness team on a unique residential education and career-training campus in Manhattan, Kansas. Set in the beautiful Flint Hills , this campus is home to young adults who are completing their education, developing career skills, earning professional credentials, and preparing for independent adulthood. As their RN, you become part of that journey. This isn't a traditional hospital floor where you barely have time to learn someone's name before moving to the next patient. You'll have the opportunity to know the young people you care for, help them understand and manage their health, provide consistent support, and become one of the trusted professionals helping them move toward their future. What you'll do You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary Health & Wellness team providing accessible, relationship-centered healthcare to students living and learning on campus.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing nursing care within RN scope of practice Supporting student health assessments and routine healthcare needs Monitoring illness, injury, and ongoing health concerns Supporting chronic-care management and medical follow-up Providing preventive-health education Coordinating care with medical and behavioral-health professionals Maintaining appropriate clinical documentation Helping create a welcoming healthcare environment where young adults feel comfortable asking questions and seeking care We're looking for an RN who Holds an active, unrestricted Kansas RN license or applicable multistate privilege Brings strong clinical judgment and communication skills Enjoys working with adolescents and young adults Values health education, prevention, and relationship-centered care Works well as part of a collaborative healthcare team Experience in community health, school or university health, primary care, adolescent health, public health, behavioral health, occupational health, residential programs, or similar environments can translate especially well.
