Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Encompass Health, seeks a Day Shift RN to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult inpatients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. The RN will complete assessments, administer medications, coordinate care, and educate patients and families. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, support individualized rehab plans, monitor progress, and help patients regain function and independence in a mission-driven, patient-centered environment that values teamwork, integrity, and continuous learning. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients during day shift Perform ongoing assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient status and safety Implement and adjust individualized care and rehabilitation plans in collaboration with the team Educate patients and families on recovery, self-care, and discharge planning Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and case management to optimize outcomes Support a safe environment, including fall prevention and infection control practices Required Skills Acute rehabilitation nursing Patient assessment Medication administration Care planning and coordination Wound care and skin integrity management IV therapy and venipuncture Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Patient and family education Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration
