Job Description

Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Encompass Health, seeks Registered Nurses to provide high-quality inpatient rehab care in Lexington, KY. RNs coordinate and deliver evidence-based nursing care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, and other complex conditions. You'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and support safe transitions. Responsibilities Deliver and document comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation nursing care. Assess patient status and develop, implement, and update individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for effectiveness and safety. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehab team on goals and progress. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, self-care, and discharge plans. Support safe mobility, transfers, and use of assistive devices. Monitor and manage wounds, skin integrity, and pain control. Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow hospital policies and standards. Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and staff education. Model a patient-centered, mission-driven approach and mentor newer staff.
