Job Summary Responsible for the effective direction, management, and operation of Treatment/Infection Control programs in accordance with applicable federal, state, regulatory, and company standards to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. This position does require you to be on call at times. Treatment/Infection Control Care Responsibilities Direct, organize, and develop all wound care services in accordance with applicable federal, state, regulatory, and company standards to ensure the delivery of quality patient care. Evaluate wounds and collaborate with physician to ensure optimum delivery of care for wound healing. Record, measure and document resident's wounds/wound progress Track and monitor (for infection and healing) trending and record skin conditions and wounds/wound management. Coordinate treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and outcomes for patients throughout the facility. Provide patient, family and staff education regarding wound management and therapies Act as the resource person for physicians and clinical staff for wound management. Perform general nursing duties as needed. Demonstrate knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage patients with draining wounds, fistulae and/or tubes; wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence. Demonstrate revision to plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan for effectiveness. Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in working within a skilled nursing, short term rehabilitative environment. Prior experience with Treatment/Infection Control preferred. Knowledge of Federal and State regulations. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
