AM Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a cardiac and telemetry-focused inpatient setting. The RN will monitor patients with cardiac and medical conditions, utilize the nursing process to deliver evidence-based care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process and established clinical standards.
  • Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and telemetry needs, identifying changes in condition and responding appropriately.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately and support nursing and ancillary staff.
  • Utilize clinical data and evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and quality of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Promote patient satisfaction, professional nursing excellence, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education:
  • Registered Nurse Diploma required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
  • Telemetry, Cardiac Step-Down, PCU, or Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • CPI certification is not required for this role.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and patient assessment skills.
  • Proficiency with telemetry equipment and electronic medical records.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Work Environment:
  • Inpatient telemetry unit requiring continuous patient monitoring and assessment.
  • Routine exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, and communicable diseases.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous medications and healthcare-related waste.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting, transferring, and assisting patients as needed.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • Experienced Telemetry RN with strong cardiac monitoring and acute care experience.
  • Skilled in recognizing and responding to cardiac rhythm changes and patient deterioration.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Team-oriented professional committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
