9689497-04096 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract role supporting the health and wellbeing of high school students near Yarmouth, ME. This position is perfect for skilled Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses (LPN/LVN) passionate about making a difference in a school environment. You'll provide dedicated 1:1 care for a high school student, ensuring vital support and advocacy for their medical needs throughout the academic year. The role starts as soon as possible and is set to continue through June 14th, 2027. You'll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, allowing you to maintain a reliable weekday schedule while developing a meaningful relationship with your student. Candidates should bring strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

Active Maine LPN or RN license required Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric nursing, or one-on-one student care preferred Strong commitment to confidentiality and student well-being Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to one high school student with individualized healthcare needs Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor for changes in health status Maintain accurate health records and communicate updates with school staff and guardians Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to support the students education plan Educate staff and peers on health-related matters as needed
