Tell us about your nursing background, your experience working independently, and what you're looking for in your next RN position. Ready for a Nursing Role With More Ownership? Experienced nurses don't need someone telling them how to be a nurse. You've developed clinical judgment. You know how to assess a patient, recognize subtle changes, communicate with providers, educate families, and determine when something needs attention. You'll work independently in the community while having the support of physicians and an interdisciplinary hospice team behind you. You're Not Just Completing Visits. You're Managing Care. There's an important difference between completing the nursing task in front of you and owning the bigger clinical picture . As an RN Case Manager, you'll know your patients. You'll understand what's changing, what symptoms need attention, what the family is struggling with, what the provider needs to know, and what may be coming next. You'll assess patients, manage symptoms, monitor disease progression, adjust plans of care, coordinate resources, educate caregivers, and anticipate needs before they become crises. You're the nurse connecting the pieces. That requires clinical confidence, organization, accountability, and the ability to make decisions independently. If you're comfortable managing complex patients, making independent decisions, communicating with providers, educating families, and taking responsibility for the overall plan of care, you may already have much of the foundation we're looking for . Hospice gives you the opportunity to take those skills and use them toward a different goal: helping patients experience comfort, dignity, symptom control, and quality of life at the end of life .
