Responsibilities Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to diverse adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER setting Triage, assess, and monitor patients, recognizing and responding quickly to changes in condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols Operate and troubleshoot ER equipment including monitors, defibrillators, and infusion devices Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Follow infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures at all times Support floating and cross-coverage needs as required for the ER unit Maintain compliance with facility policies, Joint Commission standards, and state/federal regulations Required Skills Emergency room nursing Patient triage and rapid assessment IV insertion and medication administration Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring Use of electronic medical records (EMR) Wound care and emergency interventions Infection control and patient safety protocols
