Responsibilities Provide direct medical-surgical bedside care to adult patients in an acute care setting Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately Document care, assessments, and outcomes in the EHR according to facility standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality protocols at all times Adapt quickly to new units, policies, and workflows as a travel nurse Participate in handoffs and communicate changes in patient condition promptly Support a culture of respect, integrity, and high-quality patient care Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing Acute care patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Care planning and care coordination Wound and post-operative care Telemetry monitoring and interpretation Patient and family education Infection prevention and control Time management in high-acuity settings
