About the Role An accredited, non-medical home care agency based in Somerset, New Jersey. Our caregivers are mature, experienced people who bring real life experience to companionship and personal care for older adults living at home. We're looking for a registered nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing. You'll lead the clinical side of our agency: assessing new clients, building their care plans, supervising our certified home health aides (CHHAs), and keeping our care and records ready for accreditation and state review. You'll work closely with the owner and our scheduling team, and you'll be the clinical voice families and caregivers turn to. Responsibilities Client Care Conduct in-home assessments for new clients, including home safety and fall risk Develop individualized care plans with clients and families, and review them with assigned caregivers Complete 60-day reassessments, and whenever a client's condition/services change Explain advance directives and power of attorney basics to families Serve as the clinical contact for families, and coordinate with physicians, hospice and other providers when needed Caregiver Supervision Supervise CHHAs and companion caregivers, including RN supervisory visits Complete competency evaluations for new hires and annually Lead caregiver orientation and ongoing in-service training Advise the scheduling team on caregiver-client matching Quality and compliance Keep client clinical records complete, current and audit-ready Investigate and document incidents and complaints, and follow up on corrective actions Support NJ accreditation and Division of Consumer Affairs compliance, including infection control and emergency preparedness Report suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation as required by law Take part in the agency's quality reviews and policy updates Qualifications Active, unrestricted New Jersey RN license (or multistate compact license valid in NJ) At least 2 years of RN experience, including home care, home health, hospice or long-term care Experience supervising CHHAs, nursing assistants or other direct-care staff Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance for home visits across Somerset, Middlesex and Hunterdon counties Current CPR certification Clear background check

Pay:

$50.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
