Position overview The Clinical Research Nurse serves as a key clinical resource for The Heart House's research program, managing all aspects of conducting clinical trials, including national cardiovascular registries, structural heart trials, and select EP registries. This is a float position based between our Cooper and Haddon Heights locations, with periodic travel to our other practice sites. The Clinical Research Nurse works closely with investigators, primary care providers, the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and study sponsors to ensure every study is conducted safely, compliantly, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Recruit, screen, enroll, and follow study subjects in accordance with protocol requirements, including subject follow-up, case report form (CRF) completion, and adverse drug experience (ADE) reporting Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between investigators, primary care providers, the IRB, and study sponsors Maintain accurate, complete regulatory documentation, including signed informed consent logs, subject logs, and study-related communications Manage all organizational aspects of assigned trials, including CRF timeliness, data entry, ADE reporting, caseload, and study file maintenance Coordinate national cardiovascular registries, structural heart trials, and EP registries across The Heart House's Cooper, Haddon Heights, and satellite locations Communicate protocol-related issues, questions, and ADE or compliance concerns to the Clinical Research Director in a timely manner Maintain professional conduct with subjects, research staff, sponsors, and monitors at all times Required Skills & Qualifications Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey Bachelor's degree (BS/BSN) required Current CPR and ACLS certification Two years of clinical experience plus a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and at least four years of research-related experience, OR two years of clinical research-related experience with a Master's degree in a related field Working knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable federal research regulations Experience in cardiology or a multi-physician practice is a plus Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between Cooper, Haddon Heights, and other The Heart House locations as needed Benefits Summary & Compensation Paid Time Off Employees receive PTO, sick time, and personal days annually
