Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in oncology by providing exceptional leadership and patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This full-time opportunity focuses on medical-surgical oncology nursing, offering you a chance to facilitate high-quality outcomes and support professional development among staff.
Work Schedule:
4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Shift:
6:30 AM - 4:30 PM Full-time contract position
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required Active and unencumbered RN license in New Mexico or compact state Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Prior experience in oncology nursing highly desirable Demonstrated ability to lead and manage clinical and administrative staff
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24/7 oversight for nursing operations in assigned oncology units Collaborate with hospital leadership and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure superior patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies, goals, and procedures Advocate for the rights and needs of patients and families Maintain regulatory compliance with state and Joint Commission standards Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and professional development of nursing personnel Drive process improvements, manage resources effectively, and contribute to annual budget planning Foster a culture of open communication, continuous learning, and conflict resolution within the team
