To encourage participation in activities and daily activities of daily living provided to enhance the residents quality of life. Ensure a friendly, safe and secure environment.

Qualifications:

Must be willing and able to work with older adults in a residential setting with a focus on customer satisfaction Must have education and experience as set forth in 18 NYCRR 487.9(c). Nurse in New York State. Associates degree, Registered nurse license and three years of full-time experience in a related field; or five years of experience in the related field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain strict adherence to the Department of Health Regulations. Will ask for assistance or clarification when in need of help from the Program Director.
• Manage and maintain the appropriate controls on the resident medication system and verification of MAR's. Checking for any label discrepancies, expired medications, and accuracy of orders written vs. label directions.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of resident medications: medication ordering. A schedule is to be maintained for this weekly or as needed.
• Maintain communication with all pharmacies to ensure proper delivery and inventory of medications.
• Communicate respectively and effectively with residents and appropriate family members regarding any information as it pertains to each individual resident.
• Supervise, monitor and provide training to all Personal Care Assistants.
• Responsible for maintaining staff schedules, including staff requests for PTO, vacation and/or holiday requests.
• Monitor and manage the Daily Communication Log, ensuring all Personal Care Assistants are documenting daily, on each shift, in the log.
• Conducts assessments, interviews, and evaluates prospective residents to determine appropriateness for admission.
• Oversees the complete admission process for all new admissions, ensuring all admission paperwork and admission duties are complete and accurate.
