Job Description
Anchor Health Home Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor to lead New York State Personal Care Aide (PCA) training classes and support the education and development of newly hired caregivers. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about teaching, mentoring, and developing future caregivers while promoting high standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance. The RN Instructor will play an important role in ensuring that PCA students receive comprehensive, engaging, and compliant training in accordance with New York State requirements and Anchor Health policies. Key Responsibilities Conduct and facilitate New York State PCA training classes in accordance with approved curriculum and regulatory requirements. Provide classroom instruction, demonstrations, and practical training to PCA students. Conduct orientation and refresher training sessions for newly hired and existing caregivers. Evaluate students' knowledge, skills, participation, and competency throughout the training program. Provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback to students as needed. Maintain accurate and timely attendance records, training documentation, competency records, and other required documentation. Ensure all training activities comply with New York State requirements and Anchor Health policies, procedures, and standards. Reinforce caregiver scope of practice, patient safety, infection control, emergency procedures, and appropriate caregiving techniques. Maintain a professional, supportive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and successful completion of the training program. Collaborate with the clinical and administrative teams to address training needs and support ongoing caregiver education. Travel between multiple Anchor Health training locations throughout the New York metro area based on the scheduled classes. Qualifications Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license with current registration. Minimum of 1 year of home care experience required. Strong knowledge of home care practices, patient safety, and caregiver responsibilities. Excellent communication, teaching, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively teach and engage individuals with different learning styles and levels of experience. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional, dependable, patient, and comfortable leading classroom and hands-on instruction. Ability and willingness to travel between multiple office/training locations as needed. Compensation Annual Salary:
