Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine individual care needs. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform catheterizations following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Manage complex clinical procedures such as wound suturing, tube feeding, ventilator management, and dialysis treatments. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care to optimize patient outcomes across settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments. Provide triage services by assessing urgent needs and prioritizing care for individuals with acute pain or infectious disease concerns. Support specialized units including ICU, PICU, neonatal resuscitation procedures, trauma medicine, or memory care units based on experience. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the state of employment. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as critical care (ICU/Level I & II Trauma Centers), emergency medicine, cardiology (cardiac catheterization), or geriatrics. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with

ICD-9/10

coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience performing advanced procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and aseptic technique. Background in specialized areas like hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, occupational health or home & community care is advantageous. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays and deliver compassionate senior or dementia care. Critical care experience including ventilator management and trauma medicine is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to patient education and health coaching.
