Responsibilities:

Provide professional nursing care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, correctional facilities, and other state-owned institutions. Observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients; perform nursing rounds and take vital signs. Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatment plans, monitor restrained patients, and respond to medical emergencies with first aid, transportation, and physician contact. Organize and oversee emergency response teams and direct healthcare staff assigned to your area. Participate in staff development, review care plans, and train or orient new employees.
