In this per diem role, you'll deliver high-quality, fast-paced ER care, including triage, assessment, and stabilization of diverse patient populations. You'll collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced ER setting Perform triage, rapid assessment, and continuous monitoring of critical and non-critical patients Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and protocols Operate and monitor emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, vents, and defibrillators Collaborate with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate high-quality patient care Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards within the emergency department Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage and rapid assessment IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation ACLS and BLS protocols PALS or TNCC emergency care Wound care and trauma stabilization Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Infection control and patient safety Interdisciplinary care coordination
