Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced ER setting Triage, assess, and continuously monitor patients, recognizing and responding rapidly to changes in condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members Operate and troubleshoot ER equipment, including monitors, IV pumps, and cardiac/telemetry devices Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe care environment Participate in code situations and emergency response procedures Coordinate with staffing and leadership to support flexible PRN scheduling needs Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage and rapid assessment IV insertion and therapy Medication administration ACLS and BLS procedures Cardiac and telemetry monitoring Wound care and stabilization Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Infection control and safety protocols Emergency response and code management
