Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc. is a Continuing Care Retirement Community offering the full range of senior living services, including independent living, personal care, dementia care, and skilled nursing. We have a complete Electronic Medical Record allowing more time to focus on resident care. We are currently seeking dedicated, motivated candidates for the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor position to add to our growing team! We are currently hiring for full and part time positions. Must possess Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License. Provide nursing care to residents. Direct and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Nurse Aides. Take appropriate action in the event of an injury, illness, fire or other emergency. Provide basic life support, including initiation of CPR to a resident who experiences cardiac arrest prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services based upon the resident's advance directives or in the absence of advance directives or a DNR order. Assist in the development and implementation of written resident care plans. Administer and document medications as ordered and observe and document resident reactions. Provide skilled and therapeutic treatments as ordered by physicians and document resident outcomes. Observe, assess, document, and report to the physician the resident's conditions and reactions to drugs, treatments and significant incidents. Assist physicians with rounds, write, transcribe and carry out physician orders as appropriate. Maintain in accordance with professional standards and practices an organized, complete resident medical record. Perform and document resident assessments on admission and on a continuing basis. Complete behavior monitoring and documentation. Complete various assessment forms for MDS data collection. Maintain confidentiality of all resident data. Offer emotional support to residents and families during facility adjustment, the grief process, coping with chronic illness and working with the cognitively impaired resident and their family. Record absences, tardiness and relief coverage and obtain additional staffing for coverage of nursing unit as necessary. Provide emergency first aid for staff members from all departments who may be injured on duty. Administer Tuberculin Skin Tests, and Influenza and Hepatitis B vaccines to staff members as needed.
