Required Qualifications & Experience:

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license Proven experience working in school environments, providing care to students of diverse ages and needs Background or certification in legal nurse consulting highly preferred Strong understanding of care compliance, documentation, and state health regulations relevant to K-12 settings Exceptional critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to collaborate effectively with education staff, parents, and external agencies Comfortable navigating electronic health records and maintaining accurate reports

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care, first aid, and health counseling to students and staff in accordance with district policies and state regulations Support individualized healthcare plans and participate in assessment teams for 504/IEP students as needed Oversee medication administration and monitoring for students with chronic or acute health needs Conduct health screenings, flu shots, and immunization checks; maintain up-to-date student health records Serve as a liaison between healthcare professionals, legal representatives, and school staff to address compliance in medical matters Participate in policy development and staff training on best health practices and legal standards within the school setting Enjoy the satisfaction of providing trusted care and legal expertise within a collaborative educational environment.
