Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Local MedSurg RN in Jackson, TN. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to adult medical-surgical patients on an inpatient unit. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, IV meds, wound care, monitoring lab results, and updating care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. You'll educate patients and families, support safe discharges, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and follow strict infection-control standards in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Provide direct bedside care to adult Med Surg patients, including assessments, vital signs, and monitoring clinical status. Administer medications and IV therapies safely, following hospital policies and evidence-based protocols. Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans in coordination with the healthcare team. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, post-discharge care, and health promotion. Perform wound care, basic telemetry monitoring, and other unit-specific procedures as required. Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and quality standards. Support admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring smooth transitions of care. Participate in unit meetings and continuous improvement efforts to enhance patient care and workflow.
