Full Job Description Role Overview:
The Nurse is responsible for providing independent routine and complex care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. They assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs. The Nurse administers medications, monitors treatment effectiveness, documents patient information, and educates patients and families about care and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet competency standards related to self-leadership and team leadership. Delegate tasks appropriately to care providers to manage clinical situations effectively. Continuously develop skills to handle clinical contingencies and long-term goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Minimum one year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates considered. Current RN license, with BLS and ACLS certifications required. Completion of onboarding, orientation, and annual competency validations. Knowledge of medication protocols, documentation standards, and patient education.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to administer treatments following protocols and monitor patient responses. Provide education tailored to patient needs and resources. Maintain certifications within designated grace periods, including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and others as applicable.
Work Environment:
Full-time position with a 4-day, 10-hour work schedule.
