Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room /
Ambulatory Surgery Center Location:
Texas Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:30

Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. The ideal candidate will have a strong operating room background and be committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care throughout the surgical experience. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and a willingness to learn and support multiple surgical service lines. Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Care (50%) Provide safe, effective patient care in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Conduct patient assessments, examinations, treatments, and interventions. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation. Demonstrate professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and compassionate patient care. Participate in preoperative patient calls and routine unit checks. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership. Quality & Safety (20%) Adhere to all regulatory, accreditation, and professional nursing standards. Coordinate and modify plans of care for patients with complex healthcare needs. Identify and report safety concerns, incidents, and near misses. Support performance improvement and quality initiatives. Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and safety protocols. Customer Service & Patient Experience (30%) Deliver exceptional patient-centered care and service. Communicate delays, updates, and expectations effectively to patients and families. Advocate for patients and assist in resolving clinical and ethical concerns. Build positive professional relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues. Assess patient satisfaction and identify opportunities for service excellence. Educate patients and families regarding ASC policies, procedures, and expectations. Demonstrate commitment to organizational mission, vision, and values. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Active RN Texas State License Experience Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in the Operating Room Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
