You will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing services, supporting diverse patient populations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Your skills in EMR systems, critical care, and specialized nursing practices will be essential to delivering exceptional care across various settings. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status accurately. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and manage catheter care following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and medical records using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth to ensure accurate and timely data entry. Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and coordinate care plans for patients with complex needs including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities. Provide specialized care including pain management, airway management with ventilators, tube feeding, and acute or chronic illness management in diverse environments such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or home & community settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management strategies for patients requiring hospice care, infectious disease treatment, or post-acute care. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient-centered care. Qualifications Valid LVN or RN license with current state licensure required. Proven experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers preferred; hospital medicine experience highly valued. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is a plus. Strong background in medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, or long-term care; experience working with geriatric patients is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols, medication administration standards, and emergency response procedures including CPR and first aid certification. Ability to perform complex patient assessments involving physiology knowledge and medical terminology; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education; ability to work effectively within a team environment.
