The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Registered Nurse for our Berlin Dialysis unit. In this on-site role, you'll deliver safe, evidence-based hemodialysis care, including patient assessment, treatment setup and monitoring, access management, and medication administration. You will educate patients and families on renal health and treatment plans, document in the EMR, and collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and social workers. Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based hemodialysis treatments for assigned patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Manage and monitor vascular access sites, reporting and addressing complications Administer medications, fluids, and blood products per provider orders Continuously monitor and document patient status and treatments in the EMREducate patients and families on dialysis, renal disease, and self-care Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other team members Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards and protocols Participate in unit-based quality improvement and staff education activities Support a collaborative, patient-centered culture aligned with UVM Health Network values Required Skills Hemodialysis treatment management Vascular access care (fistula/graft/catheter) Patient assessment and care planning Medication administration and titration Infection prevention and control Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Emergency response in dialysis setting Interdisciplinary care coordination Quality and safety compliance
