About the Individual The individual receiving care: Lives with Muscular Dystrophy Is ventilator-dependent and has a tracheostomy Requires 24-hour nursing support and supervision Uses a power wheelchair Has limited range of motion but communicates verbally Resides in a safe, welcoming community and comfortable home environment What You'll Do Skilled Nursing Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care throughout the shift Monitor respiratory status, overall health, and comfort Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning as needed Assist with ventilator management and related care Administer prescribed treatments and medications Accurately document care provided and communicate any changes in condition Personal Care & Daily Living Support Administer medicated nebulizer treatments Assist with personal hygiene and sponge bathing Provide dressing and grooming assistance Support toileting needs Assist with oral care, including brushing teeth Reposition for comfort and skin integrity Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment Qualifications Required Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a home-care environment Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused approach to care Preferred Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care Home health, private duty, or long-term care experience Experience supporting individuals with neuromuscular conditions Why Join This Team?
