Job Description

MEDICAL OFFICE RECEPTIONIST
Hiring full-time Medical Receptionists for NewMed Health Center (specialist office for Physical Therapy/Acupuncture) in Rosemead, CA. We are located next to Sea Harbour restaurant.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Speak Chinese (REQUIRED), speak Spanish (preferred). Greet patients and staff with a friendly, helpful, and respectful attitude, tone, and demeanor in person or on the phone at all times. Multi-tasking, proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented. Prior clinical/medical experience helpful but not required .
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform and manage ALL front-office/Medical Receptionist duties, not limited to: Understand that patients' needs are the medical receptionist's main priority. Manage patients' payment, processing copays and invoices. Verify insurance eligibility, process inquiries, referrals/authorizations, and insurance updates via web access/portals to all health plans and IPAs (training will be provided). Prior knowledge of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage not required; training will be provided. Maintain spreadsheets for logging and documentation of referrals and prior authorizations; must be detail-oriented. Identify mistakes and readily make corrective changes and self-reminders to prevent future recurrence; develop and improve on patient service skills. Must be a team player, share in all responsibilities, be proactive, and assist other staff in their responsibilities/duties; take initiative to improve office workflow, reputation and duties.
