Job Description

Busy Primary Care office seeking a part-time Medical Office/Medical Records Specialist. This position includes, but is not limited to, scanning, eFaxing, answering phones, obtaining medical records releases, and general misc. office duties. The ideal candidate will be a medical administrative assistant or medical receptionist. Must have experience in the medical field. Knowledge of medical documents, HIPAA and EHR is required. Employment is subject to a national background check and drug screening. Primary Duties
  • Compile, invoice, and submit medical records as requested by healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients in a timely manner
  • Ensure all medical records are properly filed and stored
  • Review medical records for completeness and accuracy
  • Scan and digitize paper records into electronic health record systems
  • Assist with coding and indexing medical records for billing purposes
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times Experience
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical record documentation
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other computer software applications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Schedule 8:00 am
  • 12:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 am
  • 3:00 pm, Alternating Saturdays You will play a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Your attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency with electronic health record systems will contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.
