Job Description

Millennium Therapy is looking to add a Full-Time Referral Specialist / Administrative Assistant to our staff in Independence, IA for the outpatient setting. Millennium Therapy is a patient focused, therapist owned, and therapist managed company that operates throughout Iowa, providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in various settings. Our interdisciplinary teams succeed through efficient communication and support from our local home office.
PAY:
$16-$18 Negotiable based on experience
HOURS:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Flexible

REFERRAL SPECIALIST / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS
High school education or equivalent experience. 1-2 years prior office experience Ability to identify and manage details. Excellent interpersonal and communication and problem-solving skills. Requires ability to input data and understand Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as other various software. The position involves a high volume of work and requires managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Requires a high level of organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks without supervision.
REFERRAL SPECIALIST / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS
Processes new patient referrals to ensure accurate information is received and promptly scheduled with the therapist. Verifies each patient's insurance coverage and obtains prior authorization when required. Provides correct paperwork to new patients and explains all information required prior to initial evaluation or treatment. Audits and tracks all information that belongs in patient medical files and ensures all files are completed prior to the closing of the files. General responsibilities include answering phones, office supplies, and office equipment, and assisting patients, therapists, and vendors. Communicates promptly, courteously, and efficiently to all incoming phone calls, customers, and vendors processing them in a timely manner. Handles the ordering and stocking of office supplies. Handle the supplies, stocking, and maintenance of the office equipment. Opening, posting, and distributing mail. Mailing of Birthday cards, Recruitment cards, and miscellaneous mailings as needed.
