Job Summary 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension) We are seeking a Patient Access Representative to provide exceptional customer service while registering patients and verifying insurance information. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring an efficient and welcoming registration experience. Responsibilities Register new patients and update existing patient information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Collect patient payments when required. Answer patient inquiries by phone and in person. Maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff. Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospital environment. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in patient registration, admitting, insurance verification, or a medical office/hospital setting. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Ability to stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Epic EMR. Knowledge of insurance payer systems. Familiarity with ICD-10 and medical terminology. Schedule 36 hours per week. Three 12-hour overnight shifts (6:00 PM-6:30 AM). Every other weekend required. Overtime paid after 48 hours.
