Job Description

Position Summary Performs patient registration. Provides insurance benefits interpretation and counseling. Maintains medical terminology skills and knowledge of third party payer regulations. Performs patient and customer relations. Completes other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High School or equivalent (GED) or higher is required.

preferred 2 years Customer Service is required 1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting is preferred. Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required. Basic computer skills Pay Range $16.00 - $22.86 ECU Health About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center ECU Health Beaufort Hospital serves as a campus of ECU Health Medical Center. The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center - a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women's birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics.
