  • We are hiring a Certified Medical/Office Assistant (MOA) for a well-established, community-focused healthcare organization in Suffolk County.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional looking for competitive pay, a predictable weekday schedule, and the opportunity to transition into a long-term position.
  • You'll work closely with providers and patients while supporting both the clinical and administrative sides of the health center. What You'll Do
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient health information in the EHR.
  • Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and basic waived laboratory testing.
  • Process laboratory orders and track results.
  • Assist with routine health screenings and patient assessments.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and universal precaution standards.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and primary care information.
  • Assist with scheduling, reminder calls, and no-show follow-up.
  • Help patients with portal registration and other administrative needs.
  • Maintain accurate charts, medical records, scanning, and electronic documentation.
  • Assist with referrals and specialty-care coordination.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate patient service. What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • 1+ year of healthcare or medical office experience preferred.
  • Ambulatory, outpatient, primary care, or community health experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with EHR systems and computers.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and patient-focused.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus. Why You'll Like This Opportunity
