Description We are looking for a Patient Registration specialist to support a healthcare team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for patients while managing front-desk and registration activities with accuracy. The person in this role will help coordinate scheduling, maintain organized records, and support insurance and payment processes in a fast-paced medical setting.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients and visitors courteously, providing a welcoming first point of contact for the office
Complete patient intake and registration tasks while ensuring demographic and insurance information is entered accurately
Coordinate appointment scheduling and assist patients with questions related to visits and registration procedures
Maintain and update patient files and documentation in accordance with office standards and healthcare privacy practices
Verify medical insurance details, support claim-related processing, and collect patient payments when needed
Monitor office supply levels, place replenishment orders, and help keep administrative areas organized
Use Epic EMR and other office systems to document patient information and support daily front-desk operations
Carry out additional administrative support duties as assigned to help the team run efficiently Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in patient registration, medical front-desk support, or a similar healthcare administrative role
Hands-on experience assisting patients in a detail-focused healthcare or clinic environment
Ability to manage patient scheduling and registration tasks with strong attention to detail
Working knowledge of medical insurance verification and payment collection processes
Experience using Athena or Epic EMR or a comparable electronic medical records system
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
