Position Overview Med Fit Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team based in Ashburn, Virginia. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality physical therapy services to patients in home care settings, focusing on restoring motion and enhancing patients' overall quality of life. Work Environment This position is fully onsite, allowing you to engage directly with patients and their families in the home, facilitating a more intimate and supportive therapeutic environment. Our work hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized patient care by assessing their unique therapeutic goals and needs to formulate tailored treatment plans. Manage a reasonable patient load, ensuring sufficient time and attention are dedicated to each individual for optimal outcomes. Implement evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing patients' movement efficiency and restoring mobility. Utilize a variety of treatment approaches, emphasizing non-surgical solutions and cost-effective therapeutic techniques. Develop comprehensive fitness and wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyles and incorporate specific exercises aligned with patient capabilities. Motivate patients, monitor their progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to enhance recovery. Document all treatments and patient interactions meticulously using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment for all patients. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the treatments executed and measure patient progress regularly through established metrics. Educate and empower patients about their conditions and recovery strategies to foster independence and self-management. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work with a diverse range of patients, each facing unique challenges related to orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, injury recovery, and preventive care. Your role is crucial in helping these individuals achieve their mobility and functional goals, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required. An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free of any disciplinary actions or sanctions. Proven expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy modalities. Strong ability to design and implement effective exercise regimens tailored to patient needs. Proficiency in using EMR systems for patient documentation and care coordination, notably WebPT. Current knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy. Preferred Experience Prior experience in home health or outpatient physical therapy settings. A demonstrated track record of achieving positive patient outcomes in mobility and rehabilitation. Familiarity with diverse diagnostic conditions and tailored treatment modalities. Competence in enhancing patient engagement through effective communication strategies.
