2nd Shift -till 8/9pm. Start time can be flexible Position Summary The Registration Specialist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality registration services to patients, providers, and payers throughout the healthcare experience. This individual ensures timely, accurate, and courteous registration prior to care delivery. As part of the Patient Access Department, the Registration Specialist contributes to the creation of accurate electronic health records by gathering and inputting essential patient data. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors entering the facility. Register and discharge patients efficiently and accurately in accordance with hospital protocols. Distribute and collect required documentation and patient signatures. Inform patients of their rights, privacy notices, and other key information. Provide information and assistance to patients, families, and visitors. Perform clerical and reception duties, including updating provider schedules. Schedule clinical and surgical appointments and manage patient check-outs. Complete pre-admissions for scheduled procedures. Distributes and collect required documentation and patient signatures. Collect payments at the point of service. Respond to alarms and notify staff of emergencies per protocol. Perform other duties as assigned by the Patient Access Manager Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in healthcare registration or customer service preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems.
