Job Description

Category Respiratory - Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into an important patient care role utilizing your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support patients in need of respiratory care within a collaborative and supportive clinical team.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) State licensure as required for practice Recent experience in respiratory therapy, including clinical assessments and interventions Knowledge of ventilator management, airway care, and emergency response protocols Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders using specialized respiratory therapy procedures and equipment Administer oxygen and aerosolized medications while monitoring patient response to therapy Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators and other respiratory support devices Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing Provide patient education on respiratory health and proper use of equipment Respond to emergency codes and intervene in acute respiratory situations Maintain thorough and timely documentation for all interventions and therapies Benefits of this
