RCP License Full Job Description Role Summary:
Provides essential respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients, including assessment, therapy administration, and patient education. Performs diagnostic tests, manages ventilator and oxygen therapy, and ensures proper documentation of treatments. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare staff to monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly. Ensures equipment functionality, maintains safety protocols, and assists with specialized procedures such as bronchoscopies. Participates in staff training, quality control, and inventory management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program Required Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license Required Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications Preferred Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials
Key Duties:
Assess and document prescribed therapies Administer aerosol, oxygen, and ventilator care Perform pulmonary function tests and drainage procedures Collaborate with medical team on patient treatment plans Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions Support department operations, training, and quality assurance
