Eligibility for benefits may vary by location and is determined by employment status Job Summary Full Time, Nights Up to $25,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months Responsible for the skilled and competent delivery of Respiratory Care Services ordered by a physician in accordance with established protocols set by the facility or other Health care provider in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the Cardiopulmonary system. These services may include but are not limited to: initiation and monitoring of patients receiving continuous mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation to include
BIPAP/CPAP
therapy, delivery of prescribed medical gases, and aerosol therapy, pulse oximetry for oxygen titration, and administration and monitoring of all respiratory and therapeutic modalities which include aerosolized medications, sputum inductions, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas sampling and analyses. Responsibilities Demonstrates the ability to acknowledge, recognize, and access all applicable departmental and campuswide information needed for the performance of all assignments and responsibilities. Practices work habits which reflect adherence to all Federal, State and Regulatory Agency Safety standards. Demonstrates the ability to recognize problems during changing and emergency situations and the ability to choose an appropriate course of action. Practices work habits which reflect adherence to all Federal, State and Regulatory Agency Safety standards. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Minimum:
Associates Degree - Graduate of an AMA respiratory therapist program.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE
2 year Vocational Training in Respiratory Therapy/will train new graduates.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
Current Florida License as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC RRT credential, ACLS, BLS, PALS
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
