This contract position spans 13 weeks and requires a professional capable of performing independently and confidently in all aspects of respiratory therapy.

Schedule:

1900 to 0730 (overnight shifts) Wednesday to Tuesday stretch 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next Every other weekend required Holiday coverage as needed

Qualifications:

Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the state of Michigan BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (must be active) Comprehensive knowledge of various respiratory therapy modalities and treatments Ability to function independently, making assessments and decisions with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, effective respiratory care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Perform assessments and interpret arterial blood gases, pulmonary function tests, and other diagnostics Manage ventilators and other advanced life support systems Administrate therapeutic treatments such as aerosol medication, chest physiotherapy, and airway management Document patient care and treatment responses clearly in electronic records Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to ensure optimal outcomes
