3004139838-2 Apply for this job now Job Description RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, managing ventilators, and responding to respiratory emergencies. The therapist will collaborate closely with pediatricians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans and educate families. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments for pediatric patients. Administer oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer therapies per provider orders and protocols. Set up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and noninvasive respiratory support. Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in pediatric resuscitation efforts. Perform airway clearance and suctioning procedures safely and effectively. Interpret arterial blood gases and other diagnostic tests to guide care. Document all care in the electronic health record accurately and timely. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, equipment use, and home care. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals on care plans. Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and compliance.
