GENERAL OVERVIEW
Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies. (55%) Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education. (20%) Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies. (20%) Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed. (5%) Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program. Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). Preferred Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT. Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting
