1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a Level III Trauma Center, working 12-hour night shifts across critical care units with at least 1 year of experience required. Details 12-hour night shift schedule (1800-0630) with a 30-minute paid lunch and three 15-minute rest periods 36 hours per week with rotating weekends (every other weekend) Must be available to work 7 days a week with no self-scheduling Works throughout the hospital, primarily in ICUs, EDs, and PCUs, with occasional secondary support in NICU under direction of primary RT Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics Uses EPIC charting system, GEM blood gas analyzer, Pyxis, Medtronic 980, Draeger, and LTV ventilators, and Servo NIV Floating expected across all
ICU/ER/PCU
units, occasionally to NICU during surges, and rarely to inpatient rehab No call requirements At least one holiday shift expected Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist CRRT or RRT certification required BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (must have scheduled class prior to starting if not already certified) State licensure required if applicable Skilled in ABG draw and analysis, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator/trach management Neonate experience preferred First-time travelers accepted Additional Information Support on the unit includes a supervisor, lead RT, and other RTs Orientation includes 1-2 days of hospital orientation followed by three 12-hour shifts working 1:1 with a Lead RT Schedule requests require 2 weeks' notice and are built on a 6-week rolling schedule Up to 5 days of time off can be approved by the RT Manager Scrubs may be any color except camo or denim, and must maintain a professional appearance Facility offers free parking and maintains a team-oriented, travel-friendly culture COVID vaccine required
