School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Locust Fork, Alabama

Job Description

This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse student body, partnering with dedicated educators and families to foster student success.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children Excellent interpersonal and collaborative communication skills Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and progress monitoring Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet individualized student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within a K-12 school setting Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with multidisciplinary teams Conduct regular therapy sessions, both individually and in group settings Provide support and education to teachers, staff, and families to promote student growth Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress toward communication goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to develop effective interventions Stay current with best practices and continuing education relevant to pediatric speech therapy
