In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations, with a focus on pediatric care and early intervention. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and language pathology. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and swallowing functions using standardized tools and clinical observations. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, goals, and developmental stage. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques for pediatric patients with speech delays, articulation issues, language impairments, or feeding difficulties. Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient support strategies. Monitor progress regularly and adjust therapy approaches to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and exercises to reinforce therapy goals at home. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards. Stay current with advances in speech therapy practices, early intervention methods, and relevant medical knowledge. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care effectively. Promote awareness of speech-language pathology services within the community. Experience Prior experience working in school settings or pediatric environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric speech therapy and early intervention programs. Knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to communication disorders. Proven ability to perform detailed patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans. Experience working with children who have diverse developmental needs is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with children, families, educators, and healthcare teams.
